Eu ficaria com PHP, apesar de uma linguagem não ter nada haver com a outra, ou seja, depende do seu foco atual. Porém cara, eu estudaria Java, no máximo C#, são as duas linguagens de programação do momento e do mercado atual, a orientação a objeto é o forte, fora a questão de segurança. Quer uma aplicação web bem feita, segura e estável, Java lhe trará tudo isso. Caso você queira um desenvolvimento mais ágil ASP.NET C#, o ruim da microsoft, é o gasto com Windows Server, licenças do Visual Studio... Lembrando que as duas também são utilizadas para desktop, porém C# só roda em ambiente Windows.

Criei uma sessão no arquivo 1 ao validar a senha e o user,onde em seguida é aberta a página home: if($linha==1) { session_start(); $dados=mysql_fetch_array($reg); $_SESSION['user']=$dados['usuario']; $_SESSION['nome']=$dados['nome']; include("home.php"); } Na home, tem um label chamado bem vindo, onde concateno com o $_SESSION['nome'],até ai tudo bem, consegui recupera a sessão, ela estava ativa.
