Estação Win98

Instalei o samba no servidor e não consegui configurar o win98.

coloquei o ip 192.168.1.2 e 255.255.255.0 o grupo é o mesmo do samba e o que mais falta? Ou quem souber alguma apostila boa favor me indicar

Araujo, se você puder colar aqui no tópico o seu arquivo de configuração do samba, seria melhor para podermos analizar as configurações!!

ele não visualiza o servidor??

você quer q ele logue no servidor??

já tentou pingar o servidor??

colocou o ip do servidor em /etc/resolv.conf??

tenta criar o usuario no linux primeiro:

#useradd win98

#passwd win98

#smbpasswd -a win98

num sei se você já fez isso... explica melhor o que você quer fazer q eu te ajudo wink.gif

Bem araujo, vamos tentar algumas modificações...

Bem, eu vou supor que o eu servidor samba não vai funcionar como um controlador de domínio (PDC) e que você quer apenas compartilhar os arquivos do servidor samba com um ambiente operacional microsoft (win98 por exemplo).

Bem primeiramente, o parâmetro security = user mude para security = share

isto fara com que qualquer usuário de sua rede possa ter acesso ao compartilhamento do servidor.

o parâmetro domain master = yes deve ser descomentado, faça isso apenas apagando o ponto e vírgula (wink.gif que está antes do parâmetro.

Faça a mesma coisa com o parâmetro os level = 33 descomente esta linha e mude o seu valor para 100, então fica os level = 100

primeiramente seria isto, com relação as configurações principais do samba, e com relação aos compartilhamentos, seria interessante, colocar os parâmetros

read only = no

este parâmetro serve para fazer com que o compartilhamento seja de leitura e escrita.

e também...

browseable = yes

este parâmetro serve para fazer com que o compartilhamento apareça no ambiente de rede do windows 98.
