Validar Cnpj

Pessoal...

Peguei um script em javascript que verifica se o CNPJ está correto, mas não entendi bem como utilizar, pois o form que veio junto direciona para a mesma página do script, se eu colocar o action do form para outra página, ele retorna a mensagem do erro do CNPJ, mas envia o form do mesmo jeito, como fazer para este form só ser enviado caso o CNPJ estiver corretametne digitado??
