<table width="50%">
$sql = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM teste");
for ($i=0;$i<mysql_num_rows($sql);$i++){
echo "<tr bgcolor='#CCCCCC'><td>".mysql_result($sql,$i,'nome')."</tr></td>";
echo "<tr bgcolor='#FFFFFF'><td>".mysql_result($sql,$i,'nome')."</tr></td>";

seria + ou - isso...

usa o for!

Verifique o numero de registros e faça a mesma logica de par ou impar

se for par é uma cor se for impar é outra

aqui no forum já respondi sobre isso e tem varios só pesquisar

tenta assim

if (key($array) % 2 == 0)

$bgcolor = "#000000";

else {

$bgcolor = "#dddddd";

echo "<tr><td $bgcolor>$array[nome]</td></tr>

mais ou menos isso.. se tiver errado alguém corrija..
